Editorial note

Everything under Research is generated with large language models and then read, checked and edited by me before it is published. Each note names the model that produced it, the tool it ran in, and the sources it was checked against. The essays under Writing and the notes on the Bookshelf are written by hand.

Generated notes can contain factual errors, omissions, ambiguous phrasing, incomplete citations, interpretations that can reasonably be disputed, and information that has gone stale since publication. They are not primary sources, official documentation, or advice of any kind. Treat them as a starting point and verify anything that matters against the sources listed at the end of each note.

If you find a mistake, send me the link to the page, the passage in question, what is wrong with it, and a source that shows it. The easiest way is an issue on the site's repository. Requests backed by a verifiable source are reviewed in good faith, and a note that turns out to be wrong is corrected, supplemented or annotated. Corrections are dated on the page.
